ASHTANGA YOGA SUMMER RETREAT at KADERMO CONSCIOUS LIVING

In July 2021, we will finally return to Kadermo Conscious Living near Hanko, Finland. Isabella has previously taught two summer retreats at Kadermo, but in 2020 we were forced to take a break due to the Covid19 pandemic. On July 4-9, 2021, Isabella will teach a week-long Ashtanga yoga retreat open to all levels of practitioners. Welcome!

Kadermo Ashtanga Yoga Retreat

Kadermo Island is situated a couple of hours from Helsinki and is easy to get to by train directly from the airport. The retreat centre offers a unique opportunity to experience yoga in a peaceful, untouched and idyllic setting. There are no shops or cars and hardly any people on the island. The retreat is set in a protected oak forest area where some of the trees are 500 years old.

Kadermo Ashtanga Yoga retreat is the home of senior Ashtanga Yoga teacher Stefan Engström. He was born on the island and founded the retreat centre in 1994. Since then people from all over the world have been coming together to practice yoga and conscious self-development with Stefan and guest teachers.

Weekly programme
The week includes two daily yoga classes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. All yoga classes during the week are taught by Isabella Nitschke,  authorised (level2) ashtanga yoga teacher. There are two yoga halls available with plenty of room for both asana and quiet practices.

Upon arrival on the Sunday evening we’ll gather for a welcome and introduction session followed by dinner.

In the mornings there will be Mysore style class for more the more seasoned practitioners and depending on the level of participants there may be the opportunity for more guided teaching. Before morning asana class we practice silence and students may may do their own meditation and breathing practices in the meditation hall.

Afternoon class are held16.00-18.30. This class gives an opportunity for Isabella to help you deepen your understanding of the practice by looking at asana technique, yoga philosophy and chanting. Each class will have a different theme depending on the participants’ needs but will also include some easy pranayama and relaxation techniques. A light dinner is served at 19.00.

The Facilities

Students are accommodated in various places on the island, there is a two-storey summer house on a stunning rocky area overlooking the sea which is 10 mins walk from the yoga shala, there are also rooms the winter house which is closer to the yoga shala. These are built in an old fashioned traditional villa style that was common in the twenties.  All toilets are composting and showers are eco-friendly.

We enjoy vegetarian lunch and dinner cooked by the globally adored resident chef Anu from Anu’s Cafe in Mysore. Herbal teas are available all day. The café is also open straight after morning practice for coffee and smoothies (not included in the price). After lunch you have free time to explore the surroundings, walk, swim, go canoeing, read a great variety of yoga books from the library or enjoy the Finnish sauna.

All reservations and payments are done through Stefan at Kadermo Conscious Living by email Stefan@Kadermo.fi . The number of participants is limited in order to give everyone a personal and special experience of their time on the island. The retreat centre retreats all summer long and there are discount options for those wanting to stay more than one week. NEWSLETTER SUMMER 2020

Summer is finally here with the holidays just around the corner. However, this summer will most likely be different from previous years since we are not able to travel as freely as we are used to. Ashtanga Yoga Malmö follows the guidelines of the Public Health Authority and the Government, and has therefore chosen to modify our travel plans with alternative solutions for the summer. Our annual retreat at Kadermo Conscious Living in Finland is postponed until the summer of 2021. Instead, we take vacation close to home with some yoga weekends in Mölle. The shala doors in Malmö are open all summer and we have special offers for both new and old students. Continue reading below for detailed info on all offers and events this summer:

SUMMER SCHEDULE – our regular schedule runs until 21 June, after which it is replaced by a summer schedule until 31 August. You can find the entire summer schedule here. All our regular classes (Mysore and guided class) take place in the shala AND are broadcast online via Zoom simultaneously. Please note that as of 1 June, no more classes will be streamed via Facebook. To participate online you need a valid monthly/season card (klippkort do not apply) or our new ONLINE membership which you can read about here. We also offer a special summer card where you can practice for two months with a 45% discount (both on site and online). The card can be purchased any time during June-July and is valid for all our regular classes (not summer specials) up to two months from the date of purchase (however no longer than 31/8.)

SUMMER SPECIALS – This year, in addition to our regular classes, we offer a number of special summer courses and events:

INTRO for beginners on 15/6, 13/7 and 17/8 at 17:15. These introductory sessions provide a quick overview of the Ashtanga basic principles, breath technique and the sun salutations. After the intro session, participants may attend unlimited Mysore classes at no additional cost for the following two weeks. Information about the first session on 15/6 is available here

PRANAYAMA & Breathing Exercises – a course of six sessions held every second Sunday at 11:30 am starting on 14/6. The course is taught by Isabella and takes place both in the shala and via Zoom. More info about the course here

Yin Yoga & Meditation – a special class led by Miho one Wednesday evening a month (24/6, 22/7 and 26/8). You can participate in one or all three classes, on site or via Zoom. Read more about the class here

Pop-up Ashtanga – an outdoors yoga class with Sara. The class will take place at 17:15 on selected Thursdays during the summer (weather permitting). Date and venue will be announced on our Facebook page AND in our closed Facebook group

“HEMESTRA – Vacation at home”: Yoga weekends in Mölle, 4-5 July and 1-2 August. Don’t let the Covid19 travel restrictions make you depressed. Instead, join us for a yoga weekend in Mölle. On two occasions this summer we have the opportunity to visit the beautiful Yoga by the Sea – Studio Mölle. Isabella leads two weekend workshops with Morning Mysore and afternoon class. HEALTH & SAFETY – As long as the Public Health Authority special recommendations apply, we remain cautious and keep all safety measures in place at the shala. As some restrictions are eased across Europe and at home, we will slowly reintroduce SOME physical adjustments in class. With this, we also take the opportunity to introduce so-called consent cards. We are aware that direct touch can be sensitive for reasons other than just covid19, and we hope that these cards will help preserve the safe space we strive to create in our shala. When you see the cards in the shala, please choose one and place it next to your mat so that it is visible to the teacher (Green: yes please help me; Orange: only vocal adjustments please; Red: neither vocal nor physical adjustments today please).

We also ask everyone who comes to class to carefully read and follow the guidelines (here) that we have set up for all who enter the shala. If you are unwell or feel the slightest symptoms, please stay at home and recover. Please don’t hesitate to message us if you have any questions or need support in your yoga practice from home.

NEWSLETTER SPRING 2020

Dear yogis,

Hope you are all healthy and well. We’re currently experiencing some rather strange times with unimaginable consequences for the future. Stress and uncertainty about the economy/our finances or as a result of social distancing can cause various health problems. We at Ashtanga Yoga Malmö care about your physical and mental well-being and think it is especially important to, at this point in time promote positive ingredients and routines in everyday life that give a sense of normalcy. We therefore choose to keep the shala doors open, but follow the Public Health Authority and Government recommendations closely and stay updated on a daily basis. We ask those of you who come to class to read carefully and follow the guidelines (here) that we’ve introduced for everyone at the shala. And if you are run down or feel the slightest symptoms of infection, please stay at home.

SCHEDULE CHANGES – our regular schedule continues, but unfortunately we’ve had to cancel or postpone all extra events, workshops and guest teacher visits. We are trying to find new dates and our goal is to return to full activity in the autumn. Our hope is to to carry out this summer’s retreat in Kadermo, Finland, as planned. We also want to remind you that in May and June some public holidays take place and you can find all temporary schedule changes on our news page

BEGINNERS COURSES – As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic we’ve had to reduce our beginner’s courses this spring and replace them with introductory sessions. As all extra events are currently on hold, the next possible intro session will take place on 15/6. The class gives a quick overview of the basic principles of Ashtanga yoga, breath and sun salutations. Following the intro session participants have the chance to attend Mysore classes at no additional cost for the following two weeks. This is the traditional way to learn Ashtanga Yoga and we hope you recommend it to friends and family. Information about the upcoming session in June can be found here

CLASSES ONLINE – As long as the shala remains physically open we cannot arrange separate classes online. Instead we offer those who practice from home a few alternatives to maintain discipline and continuity in practice:

Virtual Mysore room via Zoom. Here you can log in and see the Mysore class live from the shala. In this way you have company, get help with motivation for your home practice and some extra energy from the group. The links to the virtual Mysore room via Zoom are published weekly in our private Facebook group for Shala members.

Personal feedback/advice – is also available for home-based practitioners during the period of social distancing. If you have a monthly/seasonal card you can book a 15 minute consultation via Zoom or phone at no extra cost (send your questions in advance). If you have a “klippkort” you use that as a payment. If you don’t have a card, you will be charged separately for the session. Contact us for more info.

Live classes on Facebook – we broadcast all guided classes (half Primary now both Tuesday and Thursday at 17:15-18:45 and full Primary  1 Friday/Sunday a month) in our private Facebook group. You can thus choose whether to participate on site in the studio or from home.

We offer both Mysore via Zoom and guided class via Facebook at no extra cost until further notice. If you are not a member of our private Facebook group, we recommend you request to join in order to get access to all updates as well as to the classes online. You are also welcome to post any ideas or requests for improvement in the group. In case of a temporary closure of the shala due to new government regulations, all classes will be taught via Zoom and only those with monthly/seasonal or klippkort will be offered to join.

SUMMER OPENING HOURS & SUMMER CARD – will be open all summer 2020 with Mysore classes six mornings a week. However, from 22 June to 21 August we won’t offer any evening classes. We’ll also launch a special summer card which gives you access to unlimited practice. The card can be purchased at any time during June-July and is valid for up to two months from the date of purchase, but no longer than 31/8. The card is available to buy on site in the shala.

FINANCES – the crisis we’re currently experiencing will have severe consequences for the financial situation for society as a whole. When many people lose their jobs and incomes overall decrease whilst expenses remain the same or even increase, it will affect us all – the shala as well as its members. Unfortunately, we therefore have to inform you that as long as the shala remains physically open, we cannot pause anyone’s card (this applies to monthly/seasonal cards as all “klippkort” are unlimited in time) unless you are sick, belong to a risk group and need to self-isolate or are in quarantine. We take this measure for the shala to survive even after the pandemic and we ask for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. On our part, we do everything in our ability to facilitate for members (also new ones) in financial difficulty who can’t pay for practice over a certain period of time. In times of hardship it is particularly important to be able to continue your yoga practice and be part of a community. We always offer discounts to unemployed/job seekers, pensioners and students and provide the opportunity to split your invoice into several payments. Under special circumstances, we are also flexible in finding individualized solutions. Please talk to Isabella directly and explain your situation.

New Year fresh start – Ashtanga Yoga with Isabella in Mölle

From 2 to 5 January Isabella teaches a 4- day semi-retreat at Yoga by the Sea – Studio Mölle. The course will focus on the basics of Ashtanga Yoga and contain both guided classes, Mysore style practice and afternoon workshops. NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2020

Dear yogis,

We at Ashtanga Yoga Malmö want to wish you a happy holiday season and all the best for 2020. Our doors continue to be open but the weeks from Christmas to New Year’s (Christmas Eve 24/12 through 6/1) our opening hours are slightly reduced. You find the entire Christmas and New Year’s schedule here. During these two weeks we also have some special happenings in the shala and in other places which you can read about below. Our regular classes resume on 7 January with some new additions and minor changes to the schedule. Between 7-9 January we’ll get a new floor installed in the shala and the morning Mysore classes will therefore be held in the dance studio. Due to the renovations our evening classes on 7+9th January are cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

NEW YEARS YOGA – on New Year’s Eve Isabella teaches the last class of the year, a guided Primary series at 9-10.30am. The shala re-opens  on 2nd January with Morning Mysore at 06am (Miho). Simultaneously Isabella teaches a mini-retreat in Mölle  2-5 January at the cozy Studio Yoga by the Sea. The four-day workshop provides a chance for a fresh start and immersion into Ashtanga yoga. GUEST TEACHER – Jens Bache from Astanga Yoga Copenhagen returns to Malmö to teach a guided Primary series class on 5 January. After class, he’ll give a talk on his research on an important Ashtanga Yoga text that he discovered in the library of Mysore.  Last year Jens’ class was full so don’t miss the chance to practice with him this time and to listen to his interesting presentation. More about Jens, the class and the lecture here.

THE SPRING SCHEDULE starts on 7 January with some small changes including a few more guided classes. The Mysore class on Tuesday evenings will be replaced by a guided HALF Primary series starting at 17.15. We will also offer a guided class of FULL Primary series twice a month – once on a Friday morning 06.30-08.00 and once on a Sunday morning 9-10.30. NEW BEGINNERS COURSES start on 13 January (registration  and information here). If you know someone who needs (wants) to fulfill their New Year’s resolution to start a yoga practice please don’t hesitate to recommend us!

OTHER COURSES coming up next year include a course in “Yin Yoga & meditation” with Miho (starting in March – info here); “Anatomy from a yoga perspective” with Sara (starting in January – see here) as well as a whole weekend of Yoga philosophy and Yoga Sutras with guest teacher Måns Broo from Åbo Academy in Finland on 7-8 March (more info here). FRIDAY-FUN – our alternative after-work returns on two occasions in January 2020. On 10/1, Isabella teaches a special class on safe back bending technique (only a few places left – sign up here). AND on 24/1 Miho teaches a class in yin yoga & meditation (read more here). As from February we resume Friday-fun on a monthly basis.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS – lastly we need to inform you that as from 2020 we have to raise the price for our different practice cards. Our prices have been the same since the start in 2013 but now we unfortunately have to make some adjustments due to increased expenses for the shala. We ask for your understanding and cooperation. We of course remain flexible with regards to splitting your invoices into several installments and will continue to give discounts to students, pensioners and those on sick leave. NEWSLETTER Nov/Dec 2019

Warm greetings from a sunny Goa where I spend a few extra days after the Purple Valley retreat. It’s kind of a holiday combined with further education as I take the opportunity to attend some workshops with experienced teachers on site. All in order to improve my teaching skills and to get some new energy. I hope you had a great time with Sara and Hanna while they’ve covered classes and I look forward to seeing you all again soon. In this newsletter you find information about upcoming events in December and January as well as the Christmas and New Year’s schedule.

The retreat at Purple Valley was very successful but it would have been even lovlier if more of you had joined. Then the chance of returning there at some point in the future would have increased. When I arrived in Goa I was welcomed by the worst cyclone since many years and the rain was pouring down incessably for four whole days. But just as the guests arrived for the retreat, the clouds scattered. Then we had days filled with sun, yoga and really amazing food. I’ll tell you more on Sunday November 24 when I’m back in Malmö and teach the guided Primary series class followed by tea and talk.

CHARITY CLASS – December marks the month of generosity and of giving back and as we’ve done in previous years we organize a charity class to raise funds for the organization V-Care in Mysore. At the full moon on Thursday 12/12 at 5.30 pm, we do 108 sun salutations together (or how many salutations you can/want to do). The class is free of charge but instead you make a donation that goes directly to V-Care. Read more here and please register in advance.

POTLUCK/CHRISTMAS BRUNCH – our annual, very popular vegan potluck party returns on Sunday 15/12 after guided Primary series class. The brunch is held at the shala from 11-13.00. Bring a festive mood and a vegan/vegetarian contribution to the table and a friend or your family. Please let us know in advance how many of you are coming. NEW YEAR mini RETREAT– Isabella teaches a mini-retreat with the theme “A fresh start” at Yoga by the Sea in Mölle on January 2-5. All levels of practitioners are welcome. Ashtanga Yoga retreat with Isabella at Purple Valley, Goa, India

Join Isabella for a two-week Ashtanga yoga retreat 26 October to 8 November 2019 at magic (!!) Purple Valley Yoga Retreat Centre in Goa India. Take the chance to immerse yourself in your yoga practice with an experienced teacher; spend time in amazing surroundings and enjoy delicious vegetarian food. You can come for one week or two! Please note that beginners need to attend the first week of the retreat. Book before 30 September and get a 20% discount!

During this retreat we will focus on the healing aspects of the Ashtanga yoga method and its impact on the nervous system, our mental health and general well-being. Throughout retreat we’ll look at and explore how different types of movement and breath (asana and pranayama), mindfulness and focus (dristhi and sense withdrawal), vocalisation (chanting) and behavioural exercises may improve our ability to handle stress, make us stronger and more balanced on all levels as well as empower us in our daily lives. The retreat aims to give all participants an insight into how practice on the mat is related to and can improve our functioning in different relationships on a societal and personal level.

We combine practical and theoretical classes and participants should be prepared for hard yet rewarding work. Focus will also be on helping each student to practice safely and provide him/her with tools to progress and keep up their Sadhana also after the retreat.

Classes consist of daily morning practice Mysore style and afternoon workshops 4 times/week. On a couple of occasions we’ll also hold a guided Primary series class in traditional Sanskrit count. All levels of practitioners are welcome, advanced as well as beginners. Participants who are completely new to yoga will be given a special introduction the first few days in order to allow for more independence later.  Beginners are therefore encouraged to come at least the first week.

Mon 4 Nov: Asana clinic: “Bend don’t break” – How to approach safe back bending

Wed 6 Nov: Mindfulness, non-attachment (non-aversion) and behavioural patterns

Thu 7 Nov: Asana clinic: from down dog to headstand – challenging inversions without fear

Each workshop session will include elements of breathing and movement techniques, asana exploration at different levels, chanting and/or relaxation exercises. Part of each session will be devoted to theory, elements of yoga philosophy and practical exploration. The retreat aims to create a safe and inclusive climate promoting healthy dialogue and exchange between the teacher and students as well as among the participants themselves. Students are encouraged to come with a beginner’s mind, ask questions and share their insights with the teacher and the group. Welcome!

  3. Flights are not included.

NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2019

Welcome back to the yoga shala after the summer holidays. Autumn has arrived with the first “monsoon-like” rain and lower temperatures. Our complete schedule including all new courses and full Mysore programme is up and running and there are many new faces on the yoga mats. At the end of August we had an open house at the shala and we were very happy that so many of you invited your friends and loved ones to visit us. Let us know if you recruited someone to our courses or to the Mysore classes – you’ll get a 10% discount on your next card.

THE AUTUMN SCHEDULE is available on our schedule page. There you also find guidelines for drop-in times and “shala etiquette”. Wed be grateful if you take the time to read these through and respect them so that we get a friendly climate in the shala. Of course, your views on how we can improve are always welcome.

TEMPORARY SCHEDULE CHANGES are always published on the news page and/or our social media forums. The biggest change this fall occurs between October 22 and November 22 when Isabella is in Goa, India to teach a two-week yoga retreat at the Purple Valley Yoga Centre. Then Hanna Mjöberg from Falkenberg, authorized Ashtanga yoga teacher level 2, subs together with Sara and Sofia. The entire schedule will be posted on the news page in due time.

YOGA HOLIDAY on 26 October to 8 November with Isabella at the Purple Valley Yoga Centre in Goa, India. There’ll be two daily yoga classes in an idyllic setting, vegetarian food and both the sea and a pool close by. If you book before 30 September you get a 20% discount on the price. NEW EVENTS at the shala this autumn include the return of our monthly alternative after work class FRIDAY-FUN. The next session is on 20/9 when we explore and play with Twists & Core. The theme of the following session in October is back bending. Read more about these classes and all other upcoming workshops in 2019/20 here. In 2020 we’re excited to host both Måns Broo, Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Åbo Academy for a weekend workshop in Yoga Sutra and Tim Fedmann, senoior Ashtanga Yoga teacher and founder of the Miami Life Center. Isabella is also invited to teach in Copenhagen and Mölle in December/January. GUIDED CLASS of the Primary series in Ashtanga yoga followed by TEA & TALK takes place one Sunday every month. On 29/9 Isabella teaches a full Primary series in traditional Sanskrit count. The class is open to everyone but is not suitable for beginners. After class, we gather for a cup of tea and discuss a yoga related topic. If you can’t make it to class, you may join us after for tea and socialize. If you have any questions that you would like us to address, please feel free to contact us

PICTURES AND STORIES of our members on Instagram is a project we will launch in September. We would like to show that yoga can be practiced by anyone regardless of age, background, gender etc. You, the practitioners at our shala, already come from different backgrounds and circumstances. We would like to hear and document your story and thus inspire others to find yoga. Please let us know if you’d be interested in having your picture taken (portrait or yoga picture – your decision) and answer some questions about how you found yoga and what the practice means to you.

Dear Yogis,

We’re in the month of June with graduations, school holidays and vacations on the door step. There’s still hope that the summer will be as wonderful as last year, but even if it doesn’t turn out that way, we’ll still enjoy the extra light and continue our yoga practice as usual. The spring schedule runs until 30th June after which a summer schedule will be in place for a month (1 July-3 August). The first two weeks in July we have the pleasure of welcoming Karolina Zakrzewska from Goa/Helsingborg as a cover teacher. The second half of July doors are open for self-practice without assistance. The shala is then open (free of charge) to all our existing students who wish to use the studio to practice. Read more about Karolina here and download your own copy of the SUMMER SCHEDULE 2019.

Summer also brings with it a number of changes for our yoga school. After having gone back and forth between Lund and Malmö for 6 years with classes spread out over several different locations, I (Isabella) have decided that it is time to gather everything in one place. As of 1st July, all classes move to the shala at Värnhem in Malmö. We will then officially be known as “Ashtanga Yoga Malmö” with classes running 6 days a week there. On the summer schedule, the evening classes are cancelled but they will return again in August.

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all students who have come to both the Lund and Malmö shalas throughout the years – without you none of what we’ve built would have been possible. It is because of you that the shala has grown and continues to flourish. When I returned to Sweden 7 years ago it was with the dream of esablishing a shala in Malmö. Although we’ve been stationed here since 2013 it is not until now that the dream of one place becomes real. I’m deeply grateful to you all and humbled that you choose to come and practice in our space. I of course hope that students from Lund will make the short journey to Malmö and not give up their practice for a 15 minute commute. Please know that you are all always very welcome. With the shala being in one single place I hope to create an even more welcoming and grounding atmosphere, with less confusion about our whereabouts and less stress from being scattered all over the place.

The move to Malmö also involves some practical changes. We don’t just change our name, but the website will also move to a new domain during the summer; our accounts/pages on FB and IG change their name, our logo is slightly altered AND we get a new email address. We aim to make the transition as smooth as possible but ask for your understanding and patience in case there are some technical glitches on the way. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Aside from our relocation there’s a lot of other exciting stuff happening this summer (don’t forget to check the news-page for temporary schedule changes):

GUIDED INTERMEDIATE – on 16th June, Isabella teaches a special guided class where we explore the traditional vinyasa count of the second series in Ashtanga yoga. Read more about the class here and what is required to participate.

SUMMER-RETREAT – from 7-12 July, we return to Kadermo Conscious Living in Finland where Isabella also taught a retreat last summer. The island of Kadermo is an idyllic place where one can really relax and disconnect from civilization. We practice yoga morning and evening, enjoying the sauna, swimming, nature and good vegetarian food. Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t regret it!

SHARATH JOIS EUROPEAN TOUR – In July, our teacher Sharathji visits Europe again and comes to Stockholm and Copenhagen to teach one week in each city. To practice with him on tour is usually a great opportunity to get an insight into the Ashtanga yoga tradition and to meet yogis from all over the world. OPEN HOUSE – on the 25th of August we open the shala doors to the public, family and friends. Everyone is invited to come to visit, try free classes, learn more about yoga, ask questions and mingle with us at the yoga school. There will be snacks and special offers for both new and existing members. The event is already published on our website, check it out there! More info will also come with the next newsletter.

A SNEAK PEAK AT AUTUMN – our autumn schedule starts on the 4th of August, new beginner’s courses are planned for September, “Friday-fun” classes (asana-based) will return, chanting on Sundays is back etc. and Isabella teaches a yoga retreat at Purple Valley in Goa, India. The autumn schedule will be online sometime in July so keep your eyes open. Come September, Isabella will also teach a special immersion of the Ashtanga Yoga Primary series; a course where participants learn how to adjust yoga asana, to deepen their understanding of the function of the individual postures as well as the purpose of the sequence. NEWSLETTER May 2017

Although it’s hard to believe when looking out the window summer is just around the corner. Our yoga practice continues irrespective of the weather and we are open as usual all through May and June until the 7/7. We take a short summer break from 8/7 to 23/7 but reopen on the 24/7. If you have/or buy a new card that runs over the three weeks we are closed it will automatically be extended with the corresponding time. Before the summer break we have several fun events to look forward to and some temporary schedule changes that you can read about below.

SCHEDULE CHANGES – Ascension this year coincides with a “moon-day” and therefore the school is closed on 25+26/5. Isabella travels to NYC to attend a workshop with R. Sharath Jois and a conference on “Yoga and Science”. In her absence, Miho and Anna cover all classes (24/5 until 1/6).

On the National Day 6/6 and on Midsummer Eve 23/6, the morning Mysore in Lund is held at 8.30-10.30am. Stay up to date on all temporary schedule changes by liking our Facebook page or regularly check the Blog/News page on our website. Our regular schedule is available here

GUIDED CLASS – takes place on the first Sunday of each month. Upcoming dates before the summer break are 4/6 and 2/7 (the Mysore class is cancelled those days). Class starts at 9:30am and you are guided through the Primary series in traditional Sanskrit. Everyone is welcome regardless if you’ve completed the first series or not BUT please arrive on time! After class, you are invited to a cup of tea and discussion about a yoga-related theme. At the next session on 4/6 Isabella shares what came up during the Yoga and Science conference in NYC.

FRIDAY-FUN – this seasons’ last workshop takes place on Friday 19/5 at 5-7pm in Malmö. The theme is “Core & Twists”. More info here. If you’ve missed any of the previous workshops or would like to get more into asana technique, join Isabella in Copenhagen where she continues to teach vinyasa workshops this summer/autumn. On Saturday 10/6 at 10am-12pm, the first workshop “Happy hips”, takes place at Astanga Yoga Copenhagen. Read more and register via their website

SUMMER YOGA RETREAT 8-12 July – During the summer break – the second week of July – Isabella teaches a 5-day Ashtanga yoga retreat at Uddebo Art & Trummelurhouse. After last summer’s successful weekend, we return to the same venue for a longer stay. Take the opportunity to deepen your yoga practice, enjoy good food and company! All places that include accommodation are already booked but you can still participate if you arrange your own accommodation in the village (or camp). It’ also possible to attend single days.
