NEWSLETTER NOV-DEC 2020

We’re already far into the autumn semester, but that does not mean that the classes we have on offer decreases. We still have many interesting courses and events coming up and the plan is to go through with them provided that the Corona pandemic doesn’t prevent us from doing so. Thanks to all the precautions we applied together during the spring/summer we were able to keep our doors open and the goal is to remain open throughout the autumn/winter months too. Since the situation may change quickly we will allow registration for our events but only collect payment once we’re sure that the event can take place. Please read more below for detailed information about what’s happening at the shala.

The increasing infection rate in Skåne has led to us once again having to follow stricter guidelines in order to prevent further spreading of Covid19. Even though many of us are tired of all the concessions that have to be made, we ask for your cooperation in following the regulations by the Public Health Authority as well as our internal rules at the shala (read them here). It is crucial for everyone’s health&safety and in order to prevent any risk of having to close the shala. Should you OR anyone in your household have symptoms; please stay at home until Corona has been excluded via a test. On our side we take every possible measure to ensure your safety and we will also abstain from physical adjustments in the coming weeks. If you have a practice card but have to stay at home due to a family member being unwell, you may practice with us via Zoom at no extra cost (does not apply to klippkort). Anyone who is reluctant to travelling far by public transport or is in a risk group and wants to practice from home can buy our special online membership. We’re extending our online programme (Mysore and some special courses) until the end of the year (possibly longer) so that no one needs to pause their yoga practice. THE AUTUMN SCHEDULE continues until 23/12 and thereafter we have a two-week Christmas and New Year schedule in place. All schedule changes until 31/12 can be found here. A detailed schedule for the week after New Year’s will be published in due time.

SPECIAL CLASSES in November and December offer the following (places are limited due to Covid19):

YOGA PHILOSOPHY: on 8/11 Isabella teaches an introduction to yoga philosophy and chanting. You may join in person at the shala or online via Zoom. The class is part of four taster classes ahead of an in-depth course starting in 2021. The taster classes are open to everyone – read more and register here. (The fourth and last of our taster sessions takes place in December with the theme of meditation. Information about that session can be found under the same link as above)

YIN YOGA & MEDITATION course led by Miho starts on 10/11. Read more here for info and registration. (the course is also taught via Zoom)

INTRO-sessions for beginners are held on 23/11, and 28/12 respectively. These sessions provide a quick overview of the basic principles of Ashtanga Yoga, breath technique and sun salutations. Following the class participants have the opportunity to attend any number of Mysore classes for two weeks at no extra cost. Info about the first session on 23/11 can be found here. Feel free to tell friends and family. Complete beginner’s courses resume in January 2021.

FRIDAY-FUN: on 27/11 Isabella teaches a special class with the theme Breath& Bandha. The class will give you a better understanding of basic breathing techniques and teaches you how to  access your deep core muscles that help create stability and lightness in yoga practice. OUR ANNUAL POTLUCK BRUNCH will hopefully be possible to arrange on 6/12 at 11am after the guided class. All our yogis are welcome, but due to Corona, we would like you to pre-register so that we can keep track of the number of participants. The brunch is usually very popular and we hope that it will be the same this year. Bring a vegan/vegetarian contribution to the party buffet. If you cannot come to class, you are of course welcome to the brunch anyway. Read more/register here

POST-CHRISTMAS YOGA WORKSHOP with guest teacher Matt Ryan the weekend of 26-27/12. Matt is an experienced Ashtanga yoga teacher and practitioner with roots in England and family ties to Sweden. During his Christmas visit to Sweden, he comes to teach two-day morning Mysore and afternoon classes with different themes. In addition, he will share his knowledge and experience of Zazen meditation. We are very happy that Matt is coming to us with his positive energy! Do not miss this workshop! CHARITY CLASS – on 30/12 we end the year in the spirit of giving and traditionally offer 108 sun salutations for the benefit of the organization V-Care in Mysore, India. We have been supporting this small charity for several years, which primarily helps children and young people belonging to the most vulnerable social groups in India to education and the opportunity for a better future. Your contribution is even more important in these times of lockdown, closed schools and difficulties in earning a living for the poorest in India. “FRIDAY-FUN”: Strength & Flexibility – arm balances and inversions

One Friday every month, Ashtanga Yoga Malmö organises a special after-work class called Friday-fun. Here we explore asanas in a playful and fun way and practice in a different way than in the Mysore room. Each class has a special theme; the first session this autumn explores strength and balance in our yoga practice. Quite literally, we look at balancing postures of varied difficulty (standing balances, arm balances, inversions, etc.). Participants are guided through a specific sequence of postures where they get to explore the interplay between strength and flexibility as well as the necessity of breath, dristhi (focus) and bandha (body lock).

The class contains both easier and more advanced asanas and is open to all levels of yoga practitioners but is not suitable for complete beginners. The number of places is limited; pre-registration is required and is done via our partner Medborgarskolan (click the link).

NEWSLETTER AUGUST (AUTUMN) 2020

We hope you’ve had an enjoyable and restful summer on home turf despite Corona-restrictions. The autumn semester is approaching and as long as the Swedish Public Health Agency’s special Covid-19 recommendations apply, we remain cautious and keep all safety measures at the shala in place. We ask everyone who comes to practice to carefully read and follow the guidelines (here) we’ve set up for at the shala. As an extra measure, we have limited the number of participants in all courses and workshops during the autumn. In the Mysore room, we keep a distance of at least 1 m between the mats and continue to offer online access via Zoom. To read more about what happens this autumn continue reading below.

THE AUTUMN SCHEDULE officially starts on 1/9 and runs until Christmas. You find an overview on the schedule page. Some changes have been introduced to the evening classes; on Tuesdays Miho teaches a course in Yin Yoga and on Thursdays Sara a beginner’s level 2 / guided half Primary series class/course. Those who have a monthly cards or klippkort may participate in the courses but must pre-register via Medborgarskolan. Click on the links above for more info. MYSORE ONLINE has worked well this summer and we choose to continue to offer this option in the autumn. All our regular classes (Mysore and guided class – morning) take place at the shala and virtually via Zoom. To participate online, you need a valid monthly / season card (klippkort does not apply) or an ONLINE membership (see prices).

OPEN HOUSE 6/9 – on this day we open our doors to public and give everyone an opportunity to try Ashtanga and Yin yoga, ask questions and have tea with us teachers. There will also be special offers on the day for those who sign up to new courses/buy practice cards. Our existing members are welcome to the regularly scheduled guided class at 9 am where you can also bring a friend (who has already practiced/practices Ashtanga but is curious about us). After class the open house begins and you are welcome to stay and invite family/friends. Check the schedule for the open house here

NEW BEGINNERS COURSES start in September. Isabella teaches a foundation course on Mondays and Sara a level 2 course on Thursdays. In collaboration with Gunilla Sandberg at Limhamn, we also start courses there on trial. More info about all courses can be found here.

FRIDAY FUN returns one Friday a month with a different theme at each session. The first class on 25/9 focuses on “Strength and flexibility”. Read more here and sign up to secure your place.

IN-DEPTH COURSE – during the past year, Isabella has taught an in-depth course in Ashtanga yoga with the aim for students to understand their practice on a deeper level. In the Autumn of 2020, we invite you to four “taster classes” that we offer in preparation for the next in depth course that starts in January 2021 with Isabella, Sara and Miho as teachers. We have improved the course content and expanded with modules in adjustment technique and asana understanding, anatomy, philosophy and meditation. Curious? Click here for more info.

RENOVATION of the entire house facade at Grangatan and Föreningsgatan starts in August. It is a large project that is expected to last for at least 18 months. There will be scaffolding that partially blocks our entrance and sign. Unfortunately, we have been informed that the scaffolding also needs to be anchored indoors, i.e. partly in our premises. About 15 poles will be placed in the men’s locker room and in the entrance to support the scaffolding’s heavy structure. We do everything we can to ensure that this affects our business and our members as little as possible, but we still ask for your patience and understanding that much of this is beyond our control. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience the works may cause. Our goal is to continue to keep the shala a stress free zone where everyone can feel safe and welcome.

A sneak-peak at the autumn schedule 2020

Our autumn schedule officially starts on 1/9, but some courses begin already at the end of August. Please note that on Sunday 6 September we open our doors to the public for an “OPEN HOUSE” Read more here and invite your friends! Welcome!

This autumn, we’ll have several exciting things going on in addition to the regular Mysore teaching. Among other things, we organise [on trial] a couple of courses at Limhamn together with Gunilla Sandberg (Yoga ashtanga Malmö)  – a foundation/beginner’s and a course in Yoga for men. As usual we have our usual beginner’s 1 and 2 courses at Värnhem, and we run taster classes (4 sessions) ahead of an in-depth course that starts in 2021. Our alternative after-work class Friday-fun also returns once a month starting in September. You can find all courses and events by clicking here.

NEWSLETTER FEBRUARY 2020

This newsletter hopefully reaches you ahead of Valentine’s Day and we at Ashtanga Yoga Malmö would like to send you some special thought on this particular day. Your trust and dedication means a lot to us as we do our best to create a safe and pleasant environment in the shala where you can always be yourself no matter what.

We would also like to send a reminder that on Friday 14 February there’s a guided Primary Series class at 6.30am. Since the start of the year we have introduced more guided classes and we have extended our morning opening hours with so-called self-practice (unassisted) from 8.45-10.30am. That way, you still have a chance to practice even if you work late hours or don’t hear your alarm on time. Read more about the extended class schedule and opening hours here.

Please also note that in February during w 8, the winter holiday, all our evening classes are cancelled. In February and March, several full/new moons fall on Sundays and we don’t teach then. Don’t forget to double check in order to avoid arriving at the shala unnecessarily. This and other temporary schedule changes are always found on our news page which it is worth visiting regularly.

NEW COURSES – On 2nd March we start our next foundation course in Ashtanga yoga. The course is suitable for people with no prior experience of yoga as well as people who have tried other types of yoga but want to learn the basics of the Ashtanga system thoroughly. More info about the course and how to register can be found here. 

Early March, we also launch a new course in Yin Yoga & Meditation taught by Miho. The course runs on Wednesday evenings and is open to anyone regardless of experience. Our existing members can attend the course through their monthly/season cards. “Klippkort” may also be used as payment BUT everyone must register beforehand via our partner Medborgarskolan. GUEST TEACHERS – This spring we have the opportunity to deepen our knowledge of other aspects of yoga besides the physical practice, as we on two occasions have the honour of welcoming renowned experts in yoga philosophy and chanting. On 7-8 March, Måns Broo, associate professor of religious science at Turku Academy, visits Ashtanga Yoga Malmö to teach a weekend course on the Patanjali Yoga Sutras. Måns is the first to translate the above-mentioned text directly from Sanskrit to Swedish and to study with him is a unique opportunity. During the weekend with Måns, all other classes are cancelled but self-practice will be offered early in the morning before the course. Read more and register here (the course is held in Swedish)

On 8-9 April, we welcome Laksmish Bhat, teacher of Sanskrit, yoga philosophy and mantra chanting at the Sharath Yoga Centre in Mysore. Laskmish will give an introduction to the yoga text Hatha Yoga Pradipika and teach mantra chanting. We also get the opportunity to participate in a traditional Ganesha puja (ceremony). Laksmish’s visit is part of a teaching tour he does in Europe and his visit to Malmö is arranged in collaboration with Astanga Yoga Copenhagen where he will teach before coming to us. FRIDAY-FUN – our monthly alternative after-work class returns on 28 February when Miho teaches a class of yin yoga & meditation (read more here). In March, Friday-fun maintains the slower pace with the theme “recovery and mindfulness” – a class taught by Isabella on 20 March. You find all our extra workshops, events with guest teachers and retreats on our event page.

There you’ll also find this year’s YOGA STOPS TRAFFICK, a worldwide charity class for the benefit of the organisation Odanadi. Odanadi works against human trafficking and exploitation of women and children in Mysore and the state of Karnataka, India. This year is the 10th anniversary of YST and our event takes place on 24 March (which is a new moon day and all other classes are cancelled). Ashtanga Yoga Malmö has been involved in YST since the start in 2010 and has participated every year with the exception of one. Read more about the class and the cause here

TIM FELDMANN – lastly, we would like to inform you that the guest workshop with Tim Feldmann, which was scheduled for 21-23 August unfortunately has been postponed until next year. Many of you have asked what happened and it is due to unexpected commitments in Miami that Tim has asked to postpone his visit until August 2021, more specifically to weekend of the 20-22nd. (Tim and Kino have bought a large new ware house to be renovated into a yoga centre opening later tin 2020). The workshop will be posted on the website again, but we won’t take registrations before the second half of 2020.

Please remember that if you do get bedridden for more than two weeks we can pause the card (a note from your doctor is needed though). NEWSLETTER JANUARY 2020

Dear yogis,

We at Ashtanga Yoga Malmö want to wish you a happy holiday season and all the best for 2020. Our doors continue to be open but the weeks from Christmas to New Year’s (Christmas Eve 24/12 through 6/1) our opening hours are slightly reduced. You find the entire Christmas and New Year’s schedule here. During these two weeks we also have some special happenings in the shala and in other places which you can read about below. Our regular classes resume on 7 January with some new additions and minor changes to the schedule. Between 7-9 January we’ll get a new floor installed in the shala and the morning Mysore classes will therefore be held in the dance studio. Due to the renovations our evening classes on 7+9th January are cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

NEW YEARS YOGA – on New Year’s Eve Isabella teaches the last class of the year, a guided Primary series at 9-10.30am. The shala re-opens  on 2nd January with Morning Mysore at 06am (Miho). Simultaneously Isabella teaches a mini-retreat in Mölle  2-5 January at the cozy Studio Yoga by the Sea. The four-day workshop provides a chance for a fresh start and immersion into Ashtanga yoga. GUEST TEACHER – Jens Bache from Astanga Yoga Copenhagen returns to Malmö to teach a guided Primary series class on 5 January. After class, he’ll give a talk on his research on an important Ashtanga Yoga text that he discovered in the library of Mysore.  Last year Jens’ class was full so don’t miss the chance to practice with him this time and to listen to his interesting presentation. More about Jens, the class and the lecture here.

THE SPRING SCHEDULE starts on 7 January with some small changes including a few more guided classes. The Mysore class on Tuesday evenings will be replaced by a guided HALF Primary series starting at 17.15. We will also offer a guided class of FULL Primary series twice a month – once on a Friday morning 06.30-08.00 and once on a Sunday morning 9-10.30. NEW BEGINNERS COURSES start on 13 January (registration  and information here). If you know someone who needs (wants) to fulfill their New Year’s resolution to start a yoga practice please don’t hesitate to recommend us!

OTHER COURSES coming up next year include a course in “Yin Yoga & meditation” with Miho (starting in March – info here); “Anatomy from a yoga perspective” with Sara (starting in January – see here) as well as a whole weekend of Yoga philosophy and Yoga Sutras with guest teacher Måns Broo from Åbo Academy in Finland on 7-8 March (more info here). FRIDAY-FUN – our alternative after-work returns on two occasions in January 2020. On 10/1, Isabella teaches a special class on safe back bending technique (only a few places left – sign up here). AND on 24/1 Miho teaches a class in yin yoga & meditation (read more here). As from February we resume Friday-fun on a monthly basis.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS – lastly we need to inform you that as from 2020 we have to raise the price for our different practice cards. Our prices have been the same since the start in 2013 but now we unfortunately have to make some adjustments due to increased expenses for the shala. We ask for your understanding and cooperation. We of course remain flexible with regards to splitting your invoices into several installments and will continue to give discounts to students, pensioners and those on sick leave. HANNA MJÖBERG SHORT BIO

Hanna is an authorized Ashtanga Yoga teacher from Falkenberg where she runs a small shala with her sister. She came to yoga in 2008 via Muay thai (Thai boxing) which she trained and competed in professionally at the time. In 2009, she went to Mysore for the first time and has returned annually since then. For the past five years she has practiced with Sharath Jois in Mysore and in 2018 he gave her the blessing to teach the first and second series of Ashtanga yoga. Hanna has also assisted Petri Räisanen and his wife Wambui in Thailand, India and Sweden and has also taught at one of Petri’s shalas in Helsinki.

NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2019

Welcome back to the yoga shala after the summer holidays. Autumn has arrived with the first “monsoon-like” rain and lower temperatures. Our complete schedule including all new courses and full Mysore programme is up and running and there are many new faces on the yoga mats. At the end of August we had an open house at the shala and we were very happy that so many of you invited your friends and loved ones to visit us. Let us know if you recruited someone to our courses or to the Mysore classes – you’ll get a 10% discount on your next card.

THE AUTUMN SCHEDULE is available on our schedule page. There you also find guidelines for drop-in times and “shala etiquette”. Wed be grateful if you take the time to read these through and respect them so that we get a friendly climate in the shala. Of course, your views on how we can improve are always welcome.

TEMPORARY SCHEDULE CHANGES are always published on the news page and/or our social media forums. The biggest change this fall occurs between October 22 and November 22 when Isabella is in Goa, India to teach a two-week yoga retreat at the Purple Valley Yoga Centre. Then Hanna Mjöberg from Falkenberg, authorized Ashtanga yoga teacher level 2, subs together with Sara and Sofia. The entire schedule will be posted on the news page in due time.

YOGA HOLIDAY on 26 October to 8 November with Isabella at the Purple Valley Yoga Centre in Goa, India. There’ll be two daily yoga classes in an idyllic setting, vegetarian food and both the sea and a pool close by. If you book before 30 September you get a 20% discount on the price. It’s a great opportunity to recharge your batteries ahead of the autumn darkness! All details about the retreat and how to book are found here. NEW EVENTS at the shala this autumn include the return of our monthly alternative after work class FRIDAY-FUN. The next session is on 20/9 when we explore and play with Twists & Core. The theme of the following session in October is back bending. Read more about these classes and all other upcoming workshops in 2019/20 here. In 2020 we’re excited to host both Måns Broo, Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Åbo Academy for a weekend workshop in Yoga Sutra and Tim Fedmann, senoior Ashtanga Yoga teacher and founder of the Miami Life Center. Isabella is also invited to teach in Copenhagen and Mölle in December/January. Those events are arranged by other studios and aren’t available on our website – only on our FB page where Ashtanga Yoga Malmö is a co-organiser. You can see all events on FB here

GUIDED CLASS of the Primary series in Ashtanga yoga followed by TEA & TALK takes place one Sunday every month. On 29/9 Isabella teaches a full Primary series in traditional Sanskrit count. The class is open to everyone but is not suitable for beginners. After class, we gather for a cup of tea and discuss a yoga related topic. If you can’t make it to class, you may join us after for tea and socialize. If you have any questions that you would like us to address, please feel free to contact us

PICTURES AND STORIES of our members on Instagram is a project we will launch in September. We would like to show that yoga can be practiced by anyone regardless of age, background, gender etc. You, the practitioners at our shala, already come from different backgrounds and circumstances. We would like to hear and document your story and thus inspire others to find yoga. Please let us know if you’d be interested in having your picture taken (portrait or yoga picture – your decision) and answer some questions about how you found yoga and what the practice means to you.

NEWS FLASH – AUTUMN SCHEDULE SNEAK PEAK

Happy summer holidays to everyone! Hope you’re all having a great summer! I write this news flash during a one-day break after three weeks of intensive work in Stockholm, Finland and Copenhagen. I, Isabella, have spent two of the weeks weeks practicing and helping out at the Sharath Jois European tour and have also taught a retreat in Finland in between. Although it’s been a working month it’s also been full of learning opportunities, time for self-reflection and chances for small breaks and recovery. Now a week’s real holiday (!) is waiting before I resume teaching in August in Malmö.

I hope you also get a chance to recharge your batteries. The weather is about to become really warm  (according to the forecast) and we continue to have a self-practice schedule in place for a couple of week. A heartfelt thanks to Caroline, Sara and Kerstin who open and close during this time and also thanks to Karolina Z who covered classes in the first half of July! On 4 August the regular schedule resumes as Isabella is back to teach (NB. Don’t forget that our classes are as from July taught only in Malmö). FRIDAY-FUN: our special after work class is back on 23 August with asana-based exploration classes once a month. In the first session we focus on getting a better understanding of the hip-region and how to keep our hips and knees healthy in practice. Read more and register here

OPEN-HOUSE: on Sunday 25 August – we open the doors to family, friends and the public to come and enjoy free classes, lectures and to mingle with us to ask questions, have tea and socialize. There will be special offers for new members on the day. Existing members who recruit new members receive a discount on their next class pass (so make sure your friend mentions you name when he/she registers). Doors open at 11.30. Read more here

GUIDED PRIMARY: before the Open House on 25 August we have our monthly guided primary series class at 9am followed by tea and talk. Our existing members are invited to bring a friend who already practices and is familiar with Ashtanga Yoga (not necessary to have completed the whole primary series ) for FREE. The tea and talk will focus on this summer’s events in the Ashtanga Community and those of us who took part on the Sharath European Tour will share our experience.

NEW BEGINNER’S COURSES: start in Malmö in September. We have a regular beginner’s course on Mondays starting on 2/9 (read more here) and a special course for men on Wednesdays starting on 11/9 (read more here).

SPECIAL EVENTS: there are many more events coming up throughout the autumn such as a very special retreat with Isabella at Purple Valley Yoga Centre 26 October-8 November. Focus will be on how yoga can be used to self regulate and hep gain mental balance. This is a unique opportunity not to miss. Read more and book in advance here

We’re in the month of June with graduations, school holidays and vacations on the door step. There’s still hope that the summer will be as wonderful as last year, but even if it doesn’t turn out that way, we’ll still enjoy the extra light and continue our yoga practice as usual. The spring schedule runs until 30th June after which a summer schedule will be in place for a month (1 July-3 August). The first two weeks in July we have the pleasure of welcoming Karolina Zakrzewska from Goa/Helsingborg as a cover teacher. The second half of July doors are open for self-practice without assistance. The shala is then open (free of charge) to all our existing students who wish to use the studio to practice. Read more about Karolina here and download your own copy of the SUMMER SCHEDULE 2019.

Summer also brings with it a number of changes for our yoga school. After having gone back and forth between Lund and Malmö for 6 years with classes spread out over several different locations, I (Isabella) have decided that it is time to gather everything in one place. As of 1st July, all classes move to the shala at Värnhem in Malmö. We will then officially be known as “Ashtanga Yoga Malmö” with classes running 6 days a week there. On the summer schedule, the evening classes are cancelled but they will return again in August.

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all students who have come to both the Lund and Malmö shalas throughout the years – without you none of what we’ve built would have been possible. It is because of you that the shala has grown and continues to flourish. When I returned to Sweden 7 years ago it was with the dream of esablishing a shala in Malmö. Although we’ve been stationed here since 2013 it is not until now that the dream of one place becomes real. I’m deeply grateful to you all and humbled that you choose to come and practice in our space. I of course hope that students from Lund will make the short journey to Malmö and not give up their practice for a 15 minute commute. Please know that you are all always very welcome. With the shala being in one single place I hope to create an even more welcoming and grounding atmosphere, with less confusion about our whereabouts and less stress from being scattered all over the place.

The move to Malmö also involves some practical changes. We don’t just change our name, but the website will also move to a new domain during the summer; our accounts/pages on FB and IG change their name, our logo is slightly altered AND we get a new email address. We aim to make the transition as smooth as possible but ask for your understanding and patience in case there are some technical glitches on the way. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Aside from our relocation there’s a lot of other exciting stuff happening this summer (don’t forget to check the news-page for temporary schedule changes):

GUIDED INTERMEDIATE – on 16th June, Isabella teaches a special guided class where we explore the traditional vinyasa count of the second series in Ashtanga yoga. Read more about the class here and what is required to participate.

SUMMER-RETREAT – from 7-12 July, we return to Kadermo Conscious Living in Finland where Isabella also taught a retreat last summer. The island of Kadermo is an idyllic place where one can really relax and disconnect from civilization. We practice yoga morning and evening, enjoying the sauna, swimming, nature and good vegetarian food. Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t regret it!

SHARATH JOIS EUROPEAN TOUR – In July, our teacher Sharathji visits Europe again and comes to Stockholm and Copenhagen to teach one week in each city. To practice with him on tour is usually a great opportunity to get an insight into the Ashtanga yoga tradition and to meet yogis from all over the world. OPEN HOUSE – on the 25th of August we open the shala doors to the public, family and friends. Everyone is invited to come to visit, try free classes, learn more about yoga, ask questions and mingle with us at the yoga school. There will be snacks and special offers for both new and existing members. The event is already published on our website, check it out there! More info will also come with the next newsletter.

A SNEAK PEAK AT AUTUMN – our autumn schedule starts on the 4th of August, new beginner’s courses are planned for September, “Friday-fun” classes (asana-based) will return, chanting on Sundays is back etc. and Isabella teaches a yoga retreat at Purple Valley in Goa, India. The autumn schedule will be online sometime in July so keep your eyes open. Come September, Isabella will also teach a special immersion of the Ashtanga Yoga Primary series; a course where participants learn how to adjust yoga asana, to deepen their understanding of the function of the individual postures as well as the purpose of the sequence.
